The Open University of Israel Center for the Study of Relations between Jews,
Christians, and Muslims
will hold its seventh international conference on December 27-28, 2017,
at The Open University Campus in Ra’anana .
The conference committee invites scholars of diverse disciplines to submit proposals
for 20-minute lectures addressing interrelationships and processes of integration
between religions in diverse geographical areas and during different historical periods.
We invite papers that present a comparative study of at least two religions on subjects
such as:
• The mutual influences of religions in various fields;
• The role of symbiosis and syncretism in shaping contemporary Judaism,
Christianity, and Islam;
• Historical cases of attempts to merge religions and traditions;
• An overview of various aspects of influence, kinship or inter-religious and social
interactions;
• Contemporary interrelations between different religions, and their real-life
impact; Interfaith traditions and customs;
• Theological and practical aspects of interfaith integration.Please submit an abstract of no more than 250 words, referring to the study's main
